FAMILY MEAL PROGRAM - LAUNCHED MARCH 2020

With schools closed due to the COVID-19 crisis, we have enhanced our food-based mission to help feed local families seriously at risk for hunger.  Since mid-March, A Single Bite & Foster Supply Hospitality have provided 100,000 servings to our neighbors. The cost is $5 per person to feed children for whom this may be their only substantial meal each day.  

We are partnering with schools, food pantries and other nonprofit organizations to reach deep into the community. And, we are purchasing as much product as possible from our local farmers and producers.

Neighbors feeding neighbors with our neighborhood grown food. Nothing could be simpler or better reflect the core of A Single Bite’s mission. 

We are committed to feeding those most vulnerable for real hunger for as long as they need our assistance. To date, A Single Bite has received donations from generous individuals, families, local businesses as well as grants from the Lazare and Charlotte Kaplan Fund, the Rockland Relief Fund, the Fund for Women and Children and the Orange and Sullivan COVID-19 Response Fund.  Additional funds are needed to feed families as long as there is a need in our community.  Get involved and donate today!

Our program started in Livingston Manor, where we call home.  Our Family Meal program delivers food to homes across Sullivan County.

And a single dollar is as powerful as a single bite.  So please consider donating and know that your donation will go directly to implementing programming for children and their families.

If you, or someone you know would benefit from receiving healthy family meals, contact us. A Single Bite may be able to provide meals or connect you to services that can help. We are delivering prepared food in partnership with the Eldred, Fallsburg, Liberty, Livingston Manor, Monticello, and Tri-Valley school districts and are continuously working to make our family meals accessible to more and more families in Sullivan County.
